The Best (Gut Nourishing) Burger Patties Ever

These burger patties are amazingly delicious and gut friendly! They might look cheesy – but it’s actually cheese free!

Ingredients 

450g Organic Beef Mince (I used beef heart mince which has more depth of flavour – but regular is fine)

1 brown onion

2 cloves garlic

1 handful fresh basil

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cardamom

2 eggs

1/4 tsp whole salt of choice

Pepper to taste

 

Instructions

(Pre heat oven to 200 degrees Celsius – 390 Fahrenheit)

1: Chop onion, garlic and basil finely and place into a large mixing bowl.

2: Add in the mince, then the spices, salt & pepper. Mix slightly, then add the 2 eggs (you can beat them first if you want to, but I didn’t). Use your hands to mix well.

3: Roll into patties and flatten to desired thickness on a baking tray. Place in the oven.

Allow to cook for between 15 and 20 minutes, and enjoy watching the yellowed egg (from the turmeric) form a cheesy looking topping on your patties. Baking them will keep them moist and soft.

Serve with salad and fermented veg!
