Last week the DAA officially announced it is cutting ties with its corporate sponsors such as big food companies Nestle and Campbells Arnotts.

In what I suppose was an inevitable move the DAA say that this will serve to curb the public perception that their approach to nutrition & dietetics is somehow influenced by these partnerships. What do you guys think?

I am overwhelmingly positive about this change as it means we can start to develop, theoretically, a truly independent authority body on nutrition in this country.
