Utilising the incredible facilities at URBNSURF in Melbourne, this event takes the unpredictability out of surfing and guarantees approximately 52 perfect wave opportunities in one day for attendees.
By using high quality video analysis techniques (all sessions will be professionally filmed) and in-water coaching during sessions, Kale will assist surfers to dramatically improve their on-wave performance throughout the day. All surfers will receive a personal video analysis package to take home after the retreat.

Beginner to Intermediate retreat: 27th November ONLY
Intermediate retreats: 28th November, 2nd - 4th December

We recommend that you select your booking based on the setting you normally surf in the pool. Or using our guide below, if you are unsure.
Who is a Beginner surfer? Someone who is catching waves independently and popping up relatively consistently, starting to cut across the wave face and looking to generate speed/try manoeuvres.
Who is an Intermediate surfer? Someone who is popping up with an above 90% success rate, cutting across easily and trying to improve their manoeuvres and speed flow.
Who is an Advanced surfer? Someone who can pop up on steeper waves or is working on this skill, can perform intermediate level manoeuvres and looking to take these to a higher level (recommended having surfed Advanced Turns setting prior to attending).

At the entrance, please check in at the reception desk.
If you don’t already have a wristband (from a previous visit) the staff will give you one.
Meet in The Surf Academy. We can confirm the Surf Academy building has been privately reserved each day for hanging out, keeping warm and video analysis sessions.

Bring the board that you'd surf in small to medium waves and if it needs changing we can do so quickly on the day. For those surfing in the advanced sessions, bring your highest performing surfboard.
Other gear:
* A surf skateboard (I recommend SmoothStar from this link.) URBNSURF refuses to lend out SmoothStar's demo boards to us now so please bring your own.
* A wetsuit or board shorts and a vest depending on the weather - December should be nice and warm, but please check weather and water temperature before you come
* Snacks and a water bottle, though keep in mind I'll have some snacks available, water fountains are present. The onsite Three Blue Ducks restaurant is a great place for lunch, dinner, nibbles, coffees etc.
* Note: water temperatures should be balmy; wear board shorts, a 2mm or 3/2 for evening sessions

Unfortunately we are not able to refund you for change of minds or conflicting schedules. If you are no longer able to attend, we will allow you to transfer your ticket to a new owner should you be able to sell it. Please advise us of the name change. Please note we will not be responsible for finding an alternative for your ticket if you require to cancel. No refunds will be given as we commit significant financial equity to securing locations and staff.
